Continual development according to the Whole Helmet Concept™ means that this year POC added MIPS to the Obex all-day, all-mountain helmet. MIPS complements the helmet’s EPS liner, PC shell and ABS top shell for all-day comfort and protection. Sliding vent covers give great control over ventilation and integrated vents at the front of the helmet allow goggle steam to evacuate. A 360° size-adjustment system allows a user to find an ideal fit without needing to change pads and the design has been optimized for a seamless fit and compatibility with POC goggles.

MIPS is a system used to reduce the rotational forces on the brain in the case of oblique impacts. This is achieved by allowing a controlled rotation of the shell relative to the liner.
